What are some good books?

I need a good book to read in my spare time. I'm 14 years old. I really don't like romance novels what so ever. Some of my favourite series are; Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Uglies, and Artemis Fowl. But it seems that I can't find a new one that excites me. Extra brownie points for it actually being a series, and not just one book. No vampires please, they're way to over used. So, any suggestions?
